Imaam Muqbil bin Haadi'ee al-Waadi'ee (rahimahullaah), the Shaykh and Muhaddith of Yemen stated, in the book (فضائح ونصائح), p. 65:

And I indeed praise Allaah, for the students of knowledge have turned to the beneficial knowledge, and I ask Allaah, hte Mighty, that he safeguard our brother, Rabee' bin Haadee for he explained the beliefs (aqaa'id) of Sayyid Qutb and what they contain of deviation.

And he also said in the same book (p. 161):

[Regarding] Sayyid Qutb, the Muslim Brotherhood have circulated his books, however the writing of our brother Rabee' bin Haadee', by the praise of Allaah, asceticism has been shown towards them. And we inform you that the books of Sayyid Qutb are placed in the closet of the books of misguidance. So may Allaah reward our brother Rabee' with good for what he has brought to the attention of the students of knowledge.

Why the Enmity Towards Shaykh Rabee'

The enmity exists because we have hoards of Ikhwanis who are faking attachment to Salafiyyah and to its manhaj, and they are present in the East and the West, and they are upon the "fikr" (ideology) of the likes of Sayyid Qutb and Hasan al-Banna, on account of which they show the severest of enmity towards anyone who refutes these individuals who were Ash'arites and possessed the doctrines of the Jahmiyyah, Mufawwidah, Mutasawwifah, Hulooliyyah and others. However, it is not really these two individuals, as individuals, or persons that actually matter to them. It is the ideologies these Innovators propounded that they are so concerned about. Because if these figureheads are refuted and their deviation away from the foundations of Islaam is exposed, it means a stake is pounded into the "Sahwah" (the so-called Islamic Awakening), and the books of these individuals which are the basis for all of these activist movements will be thrown in the closets and not read any more, and so the Sahwah and the Harakah suffers and will dwindle and perish.

It is for this reason that these people are waging this war, this war is between the methodologies of Qutb, Banna and Mawdudi, and between the methodologis of the Prophets of Allaah in calling to Allaah. Don't you see how these people attacked Shaykh Rabee' for writing his book "The Methodology of the Prophets in Calling to Allaah" and in which he refuted the methodologies of Qutb, Banna, Mawdudi, Suroor and others? So you see the truth now, and all the Major Imaams and Scholars of Ahl us-Sunnah vindicated Shaykh Rabee' in the actual underlying usool (see Shaykh Ibn Uthaymin's words destroy the doubts of the Qutbiyyah in this article here), and established that he is firmly upon the way of the Salaf in actualising the call to Allaah, in actualising Tawhid and shunning what opposes it.

So this is what is really going on, be not in any doubt about, and a lot of these people know it in reality, but it is the hawaa (desire) that blinds and kills.... this is a war between the methodology of the Prophets in calling to Allaah and between the foreign, secular, alien methodologies of Qutb, Banna, Mawdudi in which they were influenced by the prevailing ideologies and philosophies of the time, and which they fused with their own thinking (fikr) into ideologies of reform - again you must absolutely go and read this article by Shaykh Saalih Aal ash-Shaykh"
