Mahmood Shakir Refuting and Establishing the Hujjah Upon The Propounders of the aqidah of the Rafidah of Hatred and Revilement of the Companions

Mahmood Shakir wrote five articles in defence of the Companions of Allaah's Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam). Four of them appeared in the magazine "al-Muslimoon" which was edited by Sa'eed Ramadan al-Misree, who was one of the prominent figureheads of al-Ikhwaan al-Muslimeen, and the fifth was published in "ar-Risaalah", a magazine by Ahmad Hasan az-Zayyaat. These are the five articles:

  • (حكم بلا بينة) "Hukmum bilaa Bayyinah" (Judgement without proof), published in the first edition of "al-Muslimoon", 1952

Taareekh bilaa Eemaan" (History Without Faith), published in the second edition of "al-Muslimoon", 1952

Laa Tasubboo Ashaabee" (Do not Revile My Companions), published in the third edition of "al-Muslimoon", 1952

Alsinat al-Muftareen" (Tongues of the Liars), published in the fourth edition of "al-Muslimoon", 1952

Dhul-Aql Yashqaa" (Possessor of Intellect Becomes Miserable), published in "ar-Risaalah" in 1952

Do Not Revile My Companions! Second Installment

"Do Not Revile my Companions" by Mahmood Muhammad Shakir [A Refutation of Sayyid Qutb]

After a few paragraphs from where we left off in the first installment Mahmood Shakir then goes on to document the revilement of Qutb upon the Companions. Before doing this he says:

And I am not going to give an example of what the Orientalists, and those of the same sort as them, for they are as we already know (of them), and nor (will I give an example) of the people of deviation, misguidance and malice against the people of Islaam, such as the author of the book "al-Fitnah al-Kubraa" and his likes amongst the authors.

Rather, I will bring you the example from the speech of one of the sentimentalists towards the deen of their Lord, who proclaim defence of it and [proclaim] making jihaad in its path, [and show] that the quality of the idolatrous western civilization manifests itself, explosively - in the heart of the one who does not beware and take caution - with all of the malices of the twentieth century and with the most evil of resentments of this civilization that transgress the limits of Allaah. [those] which He prescribed upon His servants - Muslims and non-Muslims - that they should not transgress. [This transgression being against] four from the Companions of Allaah's Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), they are Abu Sufyaan bin Harb, Mu'aawiyah bin Abi Sufyaan, Amr bin al-Aas and Hind bint Utbah bin Rabee'ah, the mother of Mu'aawiyah (radiallaahu anhum) - how one of the people [Qutb] has spoken about them?!

Mahmood Shakir is saying here that the hatred of the Orientalists and their likes, and the people of innovation, desires and misguidance is known towards the Islam and its people, and so there is no need to give examples of their hatred, but rather, that he will give an example of a sentimentalist towards Islam, who proclaims its defence, and in whom there is found the violent explosive expression of all of the malice and hatred of the idolatrous western civilization that transgress those limits of Allaah that He ordered not to be transgressed. And that this malice and hatred manifested itself against four of the Companions of Allaah's Messenger (alayhis salaam).

You have to understand here that these words are forty years before Shaykh Rabee' even lifted the pen to write against Qutb's vile attacks against the Companions - and the speech of Mahmood Shakir is no light matter, as you can see. For he is demonstrating his surprise and amazement to the reader that you would expect this from the Orientalists, and haters of Islaam, but what about one who actually writes in the name of Islaam, and he explains that the malice and hatred that you see coming from the idolatrous western civilization has actually exploded and manifested in the heart of one who writes in the name of Islaam, and who proclaims it's defense and jihaad in its path!

If this was the perception of actual Scholars, who had actual Sharee'ah knowledge, like Allaamah Mahmood Shakir, then it shows the relative position, context and status of ignoramuses like Sayyid Qutb in that time. Further, it reveals the reality of those people today the Qutbiyyah, who are prepared to swim oceans and conquer mountains, all for the sake of defending this man who brought nothing to the Ummah except the aqidah and manhaj of the Khawaarij, along with the poison of Rafd (hatred of the Companions) through the banner of "Social Justice", the very banner of the father of the Khawaarij, Dhul-Khuwaisarah at-Tamimi, and the innovations of the Jahmiyyah, Mu'tazilah, Ash'ariyyah, Jabariyyah and others.

And then further, it should also not surprise you that the Rafidah of Iran are the ones who showed great zeal in translating the works of Qutb and using them as an ideological foundation for their Rafidite Iranian Revolution in 1978!
